Kanye West is not going to give in to the temptation to tweet about the election.
In a recent interview with Esquire magazine, West was asked whether he was going to write a song about Donald Trump, or “be the guy who gets elected.”
“We’re in a world war right now,” West said.
“We’ve got the people that are trying to destroy this country, and I feel like I’m at war with them.”
The rapper added that the world has been in a state of war since 9/11, and that he and his wife Amber have been fighting against this “war.”
“I’m at peace with the world, but we’re in war, and it’s happening right now.
I’m in a very, very dark place right now.””
The only thing that will save us is unity.
We’ve got to get back to that.
And unity has to be like a dream, and not just for the sake of the president.
If we’re all in this together, then we can save the world.”
The former president and rapper said that he is not in any way, shape, or form against the election results.
“I feel pretty much like I’ve always felt,” West explained.
“I don’t think that I’ve ever said I’m a Trump supporter.
I don’t feel like there’s anything that I can do to hurt people.
I just feel like a guy that has a big heart, a big soul, and is very kind.
I want to be a leader that cares about people, and if I’m elected president, I’m going to be that guy.”
