A new Spotify playlist has been created for the Apple Music Music student app for Apple TV, but is not a Spotify-style app.
Apple Music has added new songs, videos and artists to its digital catalogue, which now contains more than 500 million songs.
The app, for the iPad, is now available on all iOS devices, Apple TV and Mac.
It can now also play any Apple Music playlist on the iPad or Apple TV running iOS 9 or later, with the addition of Apple Music-style playlists and playlist-related buttons.
Apple said it would add the new playlists to the app in the coming weeks.
The feature was first announced by Apple’s Senior VP of iOS engineering Jonathan Ive last month.
It will allow students to access Spotify-like features, including offline playlists, a search bar for songs, a new song title page, playlists with lyrics and more.
The new feature is not unique to Apple Music.
Spotify and other streaming services have also added playlists in the past.
Apple launched its own music-streaming app, Beats Music, earlier this year and launched its streaming service, iHeartRadio, last year.
